They are new vehicles which have 1,000 or less miles, 1996 Subarus (all models), 1996-98 Mitsubishis (all models), 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo, 1996 Chrysler Avenger/Sebring/Talan,, Cirrus/Stratus/Breeze, Intrepid/Conccord/New Yorker/LHS/Vision, Neon, and Ford trucks from 1996-2003 which are medium heavy duty with a GVWR above 8,600 pounds.
How often must I have my vehicle’s emissions tested?

What is the fee for having an emissions inspection done?
In Maine the fee for an emissions inspection is $15.50 if your vehicle was manufactured in 1995 or earlier, and $18.50 if your vehicle was manufactured in 1996 or later. Even if your vehicle fails the emissions inspection you must still pay for the inspection.
