The New EMA
January 2005 will see the official launch of the new EMA, the Environmental Markets Association. Not only will EMA change its name but it will simultaneously change its structure. The name changes announces the advancement of EMA into other environmental markets, such as RECs, that goes beyond our traditional air markets. The adoption of federation structure that will have national and regional chapters reflects the growing diversity of markets. The initial chapters will serve the United States and Canada with more chapters to follow. The benefit for members of the Federation will be one central coordinating body for all chapters, central dues payments, and federation-wide EMA member benefits such as conference registration discounts.
Special Interest Groups
EMA will collect information on the special interests of each member and will use that information to help tailor programming to fulfill the needs of those special interest groups, design conferences and customize communications.
Upcoming Webinars
EMA will host an ongoing series of web seminars, webinars, to cover special interest topics, breaking news and new regulations/legislations. Through this format, EMA will keep you informed without your needing to leave the office.
2005 Membership Categories
