If you decide to purchase a vehicle with a fuel cell motor, this could land you a $2,000 state tax deduction! In order to qualify for this tax deduction you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Use IRS form 8910 to claim the IRS Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit for the current tax year.
  • Your vehicle qualifies as a fuel motor cell vehicle
  • You have used the vehicle before January 1, 2015

You can receive federal tax credits for the following vehicle criteria:

  • Hybrids
  • Electric cars
  • Plug-in Hybrids
  • Alternative fuel vehicles
  • Diesel
